The layout of the buttons is big enough that my fingers don’t hit the wrong controls, as I do when using some other DJ programs on the iPhone. The opening screen uses a traditional setup by using records to represent the music playing, and a crossfader in the middle of the standard transport controls (play, cue & sync.) All of the touch controls are very sensitive and responsive. Upon downloading, the app installed automatically and did not require further setup to get running. This is huge for users on the go, for some larger apps require download strictly over a Wi-Fi network. We’ve rounded up the best free software for DJing on both Windows and macOS that will have you mixing in no time. The basic version is called CROSS DJ FREE and is limited to 2 decks and 3 effects. The App itself is rather small, weighing in at 50.9 MB. Recently when looking at some of the top DJ apps, I saw the Mixvibes Cross DJ Free app for iPhone, and after using the desktop version I had to try it out. This let me know that the Mixvibes product was not a toy but a product that I would consider using professionally. Once I got over my stigma, I found that Cross DJ was a very capable program with features that even Traktor did not have. Initially, I was hesitant to use a product that wasn’t the industry standard Traktor program. I was given a free copy of Cross DJ to demo while we were looking for a product to pair with our CMD line of MIDI controllers. Your MIDI controller should now be mapped to Cross DJ 2s software parameters based on. With a simple and intuitive interface and a variety of features, I believe that everyone can get something out of MixVibes.I was first introduced to the Mixvibes product line several years ago when working with Behringer. If you dont have an account you can register for an for free. The program also comes with an extensive library of hundreds of songs, so if you're looking to break into the DJ world, this is one of the best programs that you could use. MixVibes gives you everything that you need to mix music and turn it into a professional-sounding mix that will amaze and impress your audience. Overall, CrossDJ Free offers a great experience for anyone who wants to take DJing to the next level, without sacrificing the kind of fun and creativity that made them successful in the first place. Other DJs who don't use midi controllers are probably better off just sticking to mixing and scratching. However, I think it would be a nice feature to add because there's nothing worse than spending a bunch of time fiddling with the mix only to realize that the song goes nowhere. I think the biggest downside is that there aren't any midi controllers available, so the mixing is all done manually. I had always intended to use it more as a party DJ, but after spending some time experimenting with the various effects and the mixer function, I think it would be better as a professional DJing tool. I tried a demo version of CrossDJ a while back and liked it a lot. Each deck has play and cue controls, as well as a variety of extra features, such as pitch shifting, auto fadeouts, bass cranked effects, fades in and out of specific sections of the mix, a special undo feature, and more. With a straightforward, solid, white interface, CrossDJ Free looks very nice. CrossDJ Free is a great new electronic DJing program, allowing you to mix your music tracks with other music files in a constant, fluid, interactive mix.
